French Plan for Olympics

The formation of national coach is part of the national plan of the French Federation of Swimming. This training is conducted over a period of six weeks during which the expert stakeholders (national coaches, technical staff ... national and regional) approach their respective areas of intervention.

The national coach training is for coaches confirmed for all specialties involved in the movement seeking federal and enrich their knowledge to a high level of expertise. To participate in this training, the candidate must write a thesis on the issue of choice. The candidate must be licensed with the French Federation of Swimming and have experience coaching at least two years.

Depending on the objectives of the candidates, the training will be followed either in whole or in part (attendance at 4 or 5 or 6 weeks of training spread over several years). The training includes theory on topics such as physical training, medical monitoring, physiology of training, optimization of performance ... and a practical part consisting of a center stage in "France".

Several files will be delivered by the candidate. The final assessment is presented as an oral presentation of 30 minutes.In the framework of vocational training (with support), the rate of six weeks of training (220 hours) is over 2000 euros. The price of personal training (without support) it amounts to just over 1,000 euros. Five Points (Aquitaine, Ile de France, Normandy, Provence and that of FFN (Paris) are organizing the various modules of this training.
